The Memory Game

I saw this on a friends's blog and thought it was a fun idea.

I'd love to hear the memories we share together!

The Memory Game

Here is what you do:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, it can be recent or 'ancient' history! Anything that makes you smile or laugh or shed tears of happiness...you know, the good stuff!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog so that people can leave a memory about you. Remember, if you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll feel free to your visit your blog to tell secrets...I mean memories about you too. :)
p.s. if you (still) don't have a blog (like we didn't a month ago :) you can leave a comment as anonymous and sign your name. then I'll send your memory back via email.
Let the games begin...

let's see I have so many memories to choose from....one of my favs is the Kansas City trip, man did we have some fun then! Our time in AG was the best, I think it did the boys good to see that we could back up a trailer and weld just as good or better than they could. Our many "girl talks" when we had sleep-over's. So many good memories....thanks for being an awesome BF and Cous I couldn't have made it w/out you!!!

After a night of babysitting a very vocal Abigail, I always looked forward to when you came home from your Harkins movie dates with Brent. We'd sit at your dinner table and talk until late. You truly took interest in my life, and I greatly valued your wisdom and perspective. I loved hearing about your challenges and joys of having a new baby to nurture. We both were in very different seasons, yet our hearts connected. Who knows? I may have never dated my husband...or had the courage to leave for college without those talks.

I'll never forget a goodbye hug beside my blue pickup...I was leaving for college. Like every other time I traveled the road leading out of Deering Park, I felt loved, understood, and encouraged. I'm so glad our friendship has weathered all the miles!

Driving home from the boys' ballgame in Phoenix in your msysuz car and reading the sign "Freeway Ends". I think we were being followed by the Leyboldts and some other parents... Laughing until we cried... Talking ALL night... Being best friends with the sister I never had...!!! I treasure them all.
