How do years fly by so fast?
It seems like just yesterday that we were expecting our first baby. We were so excited and nervous and determined to do our very best. My hospital bag was packed 3weeks before my due date...she was 2weeks late :)
Finally, our sweet girl arrived. We named her Abigail, clothed her in pink, and prayed for our new daughter.
That was exactly 9 years ago... December 9, 1999!
It dawned on me Monday night that our childhood adventures with Abigail are half way complete. While I know that parenting never really ends, childhood is such a special time. We have days to learn and travel through, evenings to discuss and play in, night-times to rest and pray together. Quality and quantity times are abundant while our children are living in our homes. What a gift!
My heart is so full as I stand at this midway. The last nine years hold so many priceless memories, the next nine years hold so much potential. So, if Abigail's childhood was a cup.... it is now half full. I am excited to watch as God continues to fill her with wisdom, compassion, experience, knowledge, direction, joy, love... until her cup runneth over!

Half Full

Okay so I'm weeping...and I hadn't truly thought about it being half over already. I tend to think about it more with James and Peter since I started with them so late. But to think that Emma is half grown is a little too much to handle!! We have to make the most of every moment friend before we know it we will be planning weddings!! Thank you for the reminder that each moment is precious and not to take even one for granted.
Love you,
Tiffany
