We had a wonderful family trip to Southern California.
We spent 3 days playing in Disneyland and California Adventure and even got to visit with our dear friend Kady... twice! It was a great time and the kids' say they 'loved their Christmas trip'.
One difficult detail, from past trips, was not being able to ride the 'big rides' together since one member of our family is rather young. Disney does offers a switch pass for parents of little ones that makes it better. One parent rides with the older kids while the other parent waits at the exit. Then you switch and the 2nd parent can go up the exit lane to ride right away.
Our first 'big ride' was Big Thunder Mountain. We asked the attendant for a switch pass. He looked around for a baby/toddler...with a puzzled look. We pointed to our sweet youngest child and then he asked Ethan to stand by the height sign. What? My baby? How did I not notice that he is now FORTY INCHES!
One very happy BIG BOY
After the ride, which is bouncy and jerky and droppy, he was all grins. Next, we take our 3 happy campers to Splash Mountain. After dropping off a giant waterfall, I look back and see this:
I wish I could bottle that moment!

What a big man!!! I'm sure he felt soooo big and grown up. Time flies huh mom??? Wasn't it just yesterday that we ate at Tito's for dinner...before all this happened?? Hard to believe, that is why it is so important to savor every moment.
Love you, T
What a fun trip!! I LOVE Disneyland as much or more than my kids! That last pic is the cutest ever!
