On this farm, we have some chicks

With a chick, chick here and a chick, chick there, here a chick, there a chick, EVERYWHERE a chick, chick!
On Thursday, our 1600 tiny, yellow, fluffy chicks arrived. At one day old, 100 chicks fit in a cardboard crate.

Everyone was excited for their arrival, especially these three...

Each chick was lifted from the box and then we gave them a little drink from the water. Brent has been spent the last few weeks preparing their brooder. In some old horse stalls, he hung waters, hooked up propane heaters, and laid lots of wood chips for bedding. In three weeks, they will be ready for the pasture.

What a blessing to start this new business together!

Oh soooo cute!! I'm so thrilled that things are getting off to a good start! Can't wait to see more pics as they start to grow. Must feel great to know that they are yours!!! Loved our chat this morning...almost as good as if you were here...but not quite!
Love you,
T
