On the Road Again...

Our family is headed East...
here are some of the details from our first 2 days on the road.

Our last AZ sunset in the rear view mirror

What a vivid reminder that we are leaving home. This show was glowing in mirrors, our last fleeting moments in Arizona... it was a beautiful good bye!

My lovely co-pilots

Mom's car is jamming out with music from the I-Pod and a new cd (thanks T).
Dad's truck has movies playing on the dvd, but you have to wear headphones because he is listening to the Message on his XM Radio.

Road trips are so VERY different from when Brent and I were kids!!
More electronics, and a lot less dramamine :)

This sign makes us smile! It's like a half off sale.

When we drove to VA last May, diesel was $4.50/gallon.

Great news: Full Service gas stations still exist!
You just have to bring your own attendants :)

A word to the wives out there:
When your husband is buying a trailer, he will compare length, colors, aluminum vs steel, capacity.... I have some advice. Sneak around and check out the back.

Make sure you like the view. It may become your scenery for days and days and days... :)

Melissa,
From a girl who has moved a lot, I love your idea on trailer buying. What did we do before DVDs, MP3s, and sattelite radio. OH and cell phones, what was life like before cell phones? I can't remember.

Hey remember those horrible yellow shirts we had to wear a Papa's Place? Good times.

Be careful, travel safe, and thanks for the updates.

XOXOXOXOX
