Would you like to see what 28 pounds of fresh peaches can become?
We sliced 3 large trays full, gave them a quick flash freeze, and put them in freezer bags for future smoothies.
One oatmeal, pecan, peach crisp
Peach, yogurt, granola parfaits for breakfast... two mornings
18 peach pocket pies
1 peach pie... that just barely made it to the freezer
1 quart of homemade peach icecream
and 4- 8oz jars of peach freezer jam
Of course, that doesn't include the few pounds that were enjoyed fresh with all that sweet juicy ripeness. We are trying to resist the temptation to go pick more!
Apple season will be here soon, but I just don't think it can top this.
