Growth

What a difference two months can make! We planted our garden at the end of May (you can see photos here ) and at the end of July, it is producing food!

Tomatoes, cucumbers, corn and watermelons

The spicy jalapenos and green peppers

A few zucchini and squash, our only 3 carrots, and the first pumpkin
and from the looks of it, onions and potatoes are growing underground
Though it is hard to photograph, our family is growing too. In the last two months, we have started to settle in and put down some roots in this new area. We met some new people who worked with us to process our first batch of chickens. Our application is in for the local homeschool group. Abigail and Samuel attended a children's art camp. And we've visited lots of churches.
It is such a blessing to see peace and joy in each member of our family. Even though we have been transplanted to a new place, God has been so faithful to tend to our hearts. He has opened our eyes to local treasures that we can explore. When our hearts feel heavy with homesickness, He has provided calls and letters from loved ones. Each of us has really grown in our appreciation for His creation and provision.
We are at the will of the Creator, the One who designed the first garden and still holds all things together. As the days pass, we see His hand in our move, in our new business, in our hearts and we are so excited to see the fruit that our living here will produce.

What a beautiful post my friend. Thank you so much for your words of encouragement tonight and for just listening to my tales of woe :) Eventhough you are far away our friendship is still growing just like your garden and for that I'm truly thankful.
Love,
T
